Neosynapse Logo solving big data problems

While every client – and every challenge – is unique, our proven methodology has repeatedly generated success with many different kinds of customers for over a decade.

The Neosynapse methodology is carefully designed to eliminate risk and ensure success. With both sides participating fully, we’re able to make shared commitments to the solution, mutually confident that it will produce the desired outcomes.

It all begins with your own realization of the challenge facing your organization. Perhaps you’re in an acute situation that’s already having a negative impact. Or maybe you anticipate a challenge from an imminent business expansion. Regardless of the source, you recognize an issue. Once you contact Neosynapse, you’re on your way to the solution.

As a Neosynapse client, here’s what you can expect.

Step 1: The discovery conversation.

Here, you’ll educate us on your problem, outlining your specific limitations, frustrations, and concerns. Top-level staff will actively participate in the discussion, distilling the issues into a clear problem statement with high-level suggestions for a winning strategy. At the end of the conversation, if you determine Neosynapse is the right resource for your problem, we’ll proceed to the next phase. Otherwise, we may suggest other resources that may be more appropriate.

Step 2: The solution proposal.

Your proposal will include a contract to create the relationship and a first statement of work authorizing Neosynapse experts to quantify, qualify, document and describe the ultimate solution to the problem.

Drawing on our deep expertise, as well as a wide range of industry frameworks and methodologies, we’ll develop the solution that meets your specific needs and solves your unique problem. Whenever appropriate, we leverage the advantages and strengths of best practices relevant to your industry, ranging from the Zachman Framework to the TMF Frameworx, the itSMF ITIL, and the DAMA Body of Knowledge. Undaunted by new challenges, we create one-of-a-kind solutions whenever necessary.

We will document this strategy in as much detail as you specify and your budget allows. Some customers want business cases and ROI analysis in this phase. Others prefer a project plan that maps out the major decision points and investments required.  At the end of this step, you will have a clear picture of how your challenges will be overcome, including time and cost estimates.  At this point, you can begin planning for a future without this problem in your life.

Step 3: The pilot.

Because complex problems often appear unsolvable – or unaffordable – Neosynapse employs a proof-of-concept phase to eliminate risks in large systems. These include technology risks, scope risks, resource risks, and more. The work in this phase may be delivered by Neosynapse consultants, your staff, or a combination of the two.  At the end of the pilot you will review a prototype system showcasing the solution to your most vexing risks.  Additionally, we will provide a findings document that summarizes what has been learned and includes the roadmap for scaling up to full production.

Step 4: The rollout.

At this point, the work done in the pilot phase transitions into a production implementation. The pilot resources are often used as QA or dev environments, and new production systems are installed. Initially, operational responsibility for the production system remains with Neosynapse — we do not build systems and then run away.  Based on your preference and level of comfort, Neosynapse may remain in an operational support role for an extended period of time.

Step 5: The handoff.

Neosynapse will deliver documentation and train your staff to take full ownership of the solution.  All the work done under each of these phases has created intellectual property that belongs to your organization. At this final step, you will take full responsibility and custody of that property.

Step 6: Ongoing support.

Even once your team has taken over day-to-day responsibility for the solution, you may continue to face challenges that could benefit from our expertise.  Common examples include: capacity increases, feature-rich upgrades, and workflow redesigns — especially from changes in regulation and governance.  Whatever your future challenges may be, we are here to support you.

Cory’s interdisciplinary background gave him the ability to see patterns and solutions across different domains that were not apparent to others on the team. These valuable insights have led to opportunities for improvement in the way Intel manages its relationships with academic institutions. I am looking forward to my next occasion to work with Cory.
